A Holsteiner is usually uncomplicated, enthusiastic, with strong nerves and reliable. His well-balanced temperament and excellent character are of great importance. He is an extremely popular sport horse and is one of the oldest horse breeds in Germany. They often win medals at the Olympic Games and other major equestrian events.
